Japanese Language Learning in VR

One of my favorite projects I’ve done was for a professor at Purdue teaching Japanese. He tasked us with designing a VR game to help students practice reading and writing with Japanese characters outside of class.

A video we made to demonstrate what playing our game could look like from the user’s POV.

This was a very unique project compared to previous projects because of the VR medium. It was very fun to work with and it forced us to think outside the box and get creative in many ways including how to present our ideas to our peers, teachers, and sponsor.

Some of my best work

P&G Baby Registry

The was the first major project I worked on as a freshman and it set a lot of the groundwork that I have since built my skills off of. If you’re curious about my design process, check this out.

Ingredient Dispenser

This project was small, but a great learning experience. It required our group to shift our project direction in the middle of our design process as we came to better understand our users.
